Unpacking the Gold RAZR

Earlier in the week we brought you the unveiling of Motorola's special edition gold RAZR V3i (see story). It's being sold exclusively in Dolce & Gabbana boutiques from tomorrow with numbers limited to 1,000 worldwide. Well here it is…

Just check out the flamboyantly huge gold and black packaging for starters. When you slide the box open you find the gold RAZR snugly cocooned in a sea of protective foam. Flip the handset open and all the menu screens are emblazoned with D&G logos; even the outside screen, as if having a gold mobile isn't exclusive enough. As for the 'liquid gold finish', well, it's bloomin' shiny and bound to attract flocks of magpies when you use it.

If you can find one in a D&G store you'll have to fork out £400 for the privilege of owning this most blinging of blowers.
